Jimmy Neutron Backyard Smashball

Jimmy Neutron Backyard Smashball is a backyard baseball showdown where Jimmy, Carl, and Goddard face the Yolkians for the title of the best team in the galaxy. Before the game starts, you set the batting order for your three players and decide who hits first, second, and third. The game has nine innings, and the teams switch between pitching and batting. An inning ends after one side gets three strikes. The team with the most runs after all nine innings wins the match.

How to play?

To start a play, press OK next to the ball icon if your team is pitching. Press OK next to the bat if you are up to hit. Two meters appear in the lower left corner that control how strong and accurate your move is. When you pitch to the Yolkians, the goal is to throw a strike so they miss the ball. Watch the first power meter as it fills up. Hit stop when the meter is full to get maximum power. Then switch to the second accuracy meter with the moving slider. Stop it right in the middle on the green section. If you hit full power and land on the green, you pull off a tricky pitch that scores a strike.

The same system works when you are batting and the Yolkians are pitching to you. The first meter controls swing power, so stop it at the top for the strongest hit. The second controls accuracy, so stop the slider in the green zone in the center. If both are lined up, the ball rockets away with a solid hit and sends your runners to the bases to earn runs. After three strikes, the teams switch places. Pitchers become batters and the batters take the mound. In tight spots you can switch to upgraded gear when normal balls are not enough. Guide Jimmy Neutron and his team through all nine innings, rack up more runs than the alien team, and take the galactic baseball title.
