Popeye Baseball is a cartoon arcade baseball game about the showdown between the famous pipe-smoking sailor and his longtime rival, Brutus. The stakes are simple: whoever wins gets a date with Olive. Popeye has just downed a fresh can of spinach and is ready for a battle on the baseball field. You control everything with the mouse only, no keyboard. Your goal is to score enough points during the match to beat Brutus and win your beloved's heart in this light arcade-style baseball game.

How to play?

The aiming system shows the ball's path ahead of time with markers and a red figure behind the pitcher. You control the direction of your hit by moving the crosshair relative to the marker. When Brutus winds up to pitch, a marker appears on the screen that shows roughly where the ball will land. Move the aiming circle with the mouse and line it up with this marker for better accuracy. The red figure behind the pitcher shows the final direction of the ball after you hit it, so use it to see where the ball will go. Want a high hit? Aim a little below the marker. Need a low hit? Aim a bit above the marker.

Brutus throws the ball at high speed, so be ready to click at the right moment to swing. The closer you line up the crosshair with the marker, the stronger your hit will be and the farther the ball will fly into the field. You earn points for every successful home run and keep batting until you get enough points to beat Brutus. Win the match and earn the right to go on a date with Olive by proving the sailor's superiority over his rival.
