MLB Home Run Derby
The MLB Home Run Derby is an official event held before the annual Major League Baseball All-Star Game. We invite you to participate in this prestigious tournament by choosing one of six professional players. The rules are simple: you have exactly one minute to hit as many home runs as possible. There is a special bonus for long hits—if the ball flies 440 points or more, you get an extra ten seconds on the timer. The trick is that the countdown does not start until the bat first makes contact with the ball, so you can calmly prepare yourself. Play until the time runs out completely. At the end, the system adds up the total distance of all your home runs for the round. Try to beat your own record in the next attempt.
How to play?
Choose one player from the available six and take your place on the field. Take your position at home plate with your bat ready. The timer is paused and will only start counting down after your first swing. The pitcher throws ball after ball without pause, creating a continuous stream of pitches. A circle appears in front of you, indicating the strike zone. When the ball is inside this circle, press the button and the player will swing. Accurate timing is critical for a powerful hit that sends the ball out of the field. Hit every ball, trying to turn them into home runs. Each successful fly ball adds meters to your total distance. When the minute expires along with all the bonus additions, the competition ends. The screen displays the total distance of all your home runs combined. Remember the number and try to beat it in the next round to prove your progress.
