Gully Baseball

Gully Baseball is a competitive arcade game where you and your opponent engage in a hooligan match in the middle of the street. The goal is as antisocial as possible: to break as many windows as possible in the building opposite. Of course, you can't do this in real life, but it's just a game where you can smash glass with impunity. You both stand with bats at the ready, with the pitchers a few meters ahead. The round lasts exactly one minute, during which time you need to score more points than your opponent. Points are awarded for each window broken. It seems simple—just hit the ball and that's it, but sometimes the servers throw curved balls that fly unpredictably. It is much more difficult to hit such a ball with a bat than a normal one. It is comforting that your opponent also regularly misses.

How to play?

The server throws the ball in your direction. Watch its trajectory—it doesn't fly straight, but spins in the air, changing direction. You need to predict where it will be when you swing. Press the hit button when the ball enters the bat's range. Did you calculate the timing and trajectory correctly? The ball flies towards the building and crashes into the window with the characteristic sound of broken glass. You earn points for the destruction. If you miss, the ball flies past, no points, but you have a chance to try again with the next serve. Your opponent plays in parallel according to the same rules and also tries to break windows. Keep an eye on the timer and the score of both players on the screen. A minute flies by quickly, and every successful hit counts. Time's up? The points are compared. If you scored more than your opponent, move on to the next round, where everything repeats with new intensity.
