Nice Catch

Nice Catch is a baseball arcade game where you play as a fielder, not a batter. The action is set in the ninth and final inning with only minutes left in the game. The score is tight, and the winner is still unknown. All the pressure is on you because your play will decide if your team wins or loses in these last moments. Your job is to catch the ball after the opponent hits it, then throw it back to the base as fast as possible before the runner completes the lap and scores for the other team. The main thing you work with is the power bar at the bottom of the screen with a green zone in the center. How close you stop the slider to that green zone affects how strong your throw back to the base will be. If you press before or after the green area, the throw is weak, and the ball will not reach the base in time, which lets the opponent score.

How to play?

When the batter hits the ball, it flies up and lands somewhere in the field. A white circle appears on the ground. It shows the rough landing spot. That is where you need to run. Use the left and right arrows to move your fielder to the white circle. Get there while the ball is still in the air. If you stand right on the marked spot, your character will automatically catch the ball when it lands. You do not need to press a separate button to catch it.

Right after you grab the ball, look at the power bar at the bottom. A slider starts moving back and forth along the bar. Wait until it reaches the green zone in the middle. If you stop the slider in the green area, the player makes a strong, accurate throw and sends the ball back to the base at top speed. There is a chance the ball reaches the base before the runner does, tags him, and stops him from scoring. If you miss the green zone and press too early or too late, the throw is weak, and the ball moves slowly. Then the runner reaches the base first, and the other team gets the point.
