Hamster Reverse

Hamster Reverse is a game about a tiny hamster that wandered too far from home and ended up in serious trouble. Curiosity pulled the little guy into icy caves where everything is covered in ice, sharp icicles hang overhead, and tight passages twist back and forth. Now he has no idea how to get out. To move around these dangerous places, the hamster climbs into a clear inflatable ball. Inside this bubble, he is protected from the cold and can float through the air. The problem is that the ball is really hard to control. It drifts around like it is in zero gravity, and the slightest move sends it in an unexpected direction.

And here is the trickiest part. The controls work in reverse. Move the mouse up and the hamster flies down. Move it left and he goes right. It works like this in every direction. You move the mouse, and the hamster in the ball follows, but always the opposite way. This is the main mechanic you have to get used to. Want to move the hamster higher? Drag the mouse down the screen. Need to shift him left? Move the mouse to the right. At first, your brain just refuses to accept this logic. You automatically move the mouse toward where you want to send the hamster, but he shoots off the other way, hits a wall, and the ball pops. You will have to retrain yourself and constantly think in reverse.

How to play?

The passages in the maze are narrow and winding. Sometimes you have to fly carefully between two close walls. Sometimes you have to slip under a low ceiling. Other times, you need to steer around an icicle sticking out in the middle of the corridor. Move smoothly without sharp jerks, or the ball will lurch too much and crash. Icicles are especially dangerous; they are needle-sharp. Even the slightest touch will instantly puncture the inflatable ball.

Watch the timer in the corner. The seconds tick away quickly and the route is long. Do not stay in one place, keep moving forward, but be careful. If you rush and bump into obstacles, you will lose time restarting. When you finally see the exit of the maze and the hamster's house up ahead, guide him there as carefully as you can. If he reaches the finish intact and before the timer runs out, you complete the level. Then you can breathe out and get ready for the next maze, which will be even more confusing.
