Hamstix

Hamstix is a platformer about a nimble hamster who has an important mission. Trouble has come to their world—evil slugs have taken to hunting bats. They've rounded up the poor creatures into cages, scattered them across different levels, and are now sitting contentedly guarding them. Someone has to deal with this mess! The animals gathered for a council and decided to send Hamstix. He is the most agile, fastest, and most nimble of them all. If anyone can do it, it's him. The little animal took on the task and set off on his journey.

How to play?

There are twelve locations ahead, each more difficult than the last. Everywhere is full of platforms at different heights, cages with prisoners are in hard-to-reach places, and slugs patrol the territory. The rescue plan is simple but risky. You need to get to the cage and push it off the platform so that it breaks and the bat escapes. It sounds easy, but there are a lot of obstacles between Hamstix and the cages. There are gold stars scattered along the way. You need to grab them too—they are an additional goal in the level. Save all the mice and collect all the stars, and a teleport to the next level will open. The hamster has three lives for the entire level. If you fall from a height or run into spikes, you lose one. Once you've used up all three, you have to start the level over. An interesting feature is the boxes. Hamstix can swallow them whole and carry them in his stomach. Then he spits them out again in the right place. Why? So he can jump into hard-to-reach places. Slugs are the main danger. But you can fight them. A classic platformer technique is to jump on the enemy's head from above. The slime will flatten and disappear. Just don't touch it from the side, or you'll get hurt yourself. Save all the prisoners in the levels, collect all the stars, and help Hamstix return home with his freed mouse friends.
