Flight of the Hamsters

Flight of the Hamsters is a lighthearted arcade game about a bunch of clever little rodents who are bored with their everyday lives. A group of hamsters gets tired of just sitting around, so they start thinking about something more interesting to do. One of them comes up with a wild idea: they should learn how to fly. The problem is that hamsters do not have wings and cannot fly on their own. But these inventors get so excited about the idea that they immediately get to work.

The hamsters build a special launch device. The base is a wooden platform on legs. On top, they set up a slingshot-style frame with a soft cushion for takeoff. At the bottom, they install two big wheels that the hamsters run inside to build up launch energy. You have five volunteers who are ready to test the invention and take to the sky. Each hamster gets a chance to fly as high and as far as possible.

How to play?

Click on a hamster to start the launch. It puts on protective goggles, and the wheels at the bottom start spinning and speeding up the launcher. The hamster then jumps up to the slingshot with the cushion. When it flies past it, click again, the slingshot fires and sends your hero into the sky. Now the main part begins, controlling the flight. Press and hold the mouse button to activate gliding. This slows the fall and helps you stay in the air longer. Watch the gliding meter, it slowly refills when you are not gliding, but drains quickly while it is active.

While you are in the air, collect the items floating around. The rocket gives a powerful boost forward and upward, which makes the flight much longer. The ball protects from falling and bounces the hamster back up when it hits the ground. Other bonuses help too, so grab everything you can reach along the way. The goal is to keep the hamster in the air as long as you can and fly as far as possible.

After landing, each hamster holds up a sign with the result of that flight. Then you launch the next volunteer. After all five attempts, the game adds up the total distance of all the hamsters. If the first runs for your team do not go well, that is fine. Keep practicing, learn how to use gliding at the right moment, catch more bonuses, and improve your launch timing. With some experience, you will be able to send all the hamsters to record distances in this funny little hamster launch game.
