Chess Grandmaster
Timed chess grew out of a real problem in long matches, and that idea shapes Chess Grandmaster. Early games could drag on for hours or even days, with losing players stretching the position until someone settled for a draw. Here, the board stays traditional, but the clock changes the pace. Alongside standard timed play, a separate puzzle set gives you fixed positions and short mating tasks. The setup stays rooted in classic chess, yet every decision happens under a rule that cuts off endless waiting.
How to play?
Pick either a timed match or puzzle mode from the menu, then read the position before moving a piece. In regular play, watch the timer on the top bar, because each move must be made within 120 minutes or the game records a loss. During puzzle rounds, work from the arrangement already placed on the board and use the limited move count to trap the opposing king. Every new challenge changes the piece layout, so calculate replies in advance and play the mating sequence within the allowed number of moves.
