flChess

Suspended in open space, the chessboard hangs against a dark backdrop. flChess uses a 3D view that leaves every file, rank, and diagonal easy to read from the first move. A computer rival waits across the board. New players can settle in at a lower difficulty, then move up after a few matches. Longer sessions push play away from random trades and toward planned attacks, trapped pieces, and pressure on the king.

How to play?

Move a pawn forward to claim space, attacking from the diagonal squares. Behind that front line, bring out major pieces to guard the king and threaten the other side. Knights jump over traffic. Bishops slide across diagonals. Rooks travel along straight lines, and the queen combines both paths. Study the reply before committing a piece, then drive the enemy king into checkmate. A bad decision doesn't lock the match. Restart from the menu or roll back a few moves and test a different line.
