Board Chess

A classic duel of kings and pieces unfolds in Board Chess. An old legend links chess to a peasant who created the game for a king. That story sits behind a contest people have played for generations. The rules come together quickly, but the board still asks for planning and careful reading of every exchange. Pick a match against computer intelligence or share the board with another player on the same screen. Set the field to 6x6 or 8x8, choose a difficulty level, and switch on 3D view if you want a different look at the pieces.

How to play?

Move a piece to a legal square and capture by landing on an occupied enemy tile. Pawns advance in short steps, knights jump, and the long-range pieces travel in straight lines until something blocks them. Trading units changes the shape of the board, opening files, closing lanes, or exposing the back rank. Guard your king from direct attack, force the rival king into a position with no safe escape, and finish the match with checkmate.
