In SpongeBob Chess, SpongeBob rushes in with a grin and signs up right away. He has played chess since childhood, and the board is his favorite way to compete. The tournament brings together familiar faces from the underwater town, giving every match a local twist instead of a standard chess lineup.

How to play?

Choose a solo match against computer-controlled opposition or set up a game with a friend. Open the tournament by facing Patrick. Beat him to move up and challenge the rest of the bracket. Slide your pieces across the board using standard chess rules, protecting key squares and setting traps before an opponent can answer. Look several moves ahead, read the position carefully, and keep building pressure until the king has nowhere left to go.
