Chess Classic

Across a checkered board, both armies wait in two tight ranks. Chess Classic brings the standard duel between white and black into a clean digital format, letting you face computer AI or sit down against a friend on the same screen. The match stays true to classic chess rules, with the king as the piece that must be trapped and finished with checkmate. Every move shifts the balance of the position, whether you're trading material, setting a trap, or pushing into an attack. Before the first move, the menu lets you swap the board style, change the piece design, and pick the color set that feels best.

How to play?

Pick an opponent from the menu, then study the opening layout before moving a piece. Pawns stand in the front row and often work as bait, drawing out a stronger enemy piece for a counterattack on the next move. From the back rank, bring heavier units into play and tighten pressure around the opposing king. If a move weakens your position, use the take-back option and try a different line. During the match, capture enemy pieces, protect your own side, and close off every escape square until the king has no legal way out.
