ESPN Arcade Baseball

ESPN Arcade Baseball is a sports arcade game with two game modes to choose from. "Precision Hitting" offers a ten-pitch accuracy competition where the main goal is to hit the ball as close to the center of the target as possible to score points. "Bottom of the Ninth" unfolds a dramatic scenario: your team is losing by two points, and you need to come back with only three outs left. Before you start, choose a difficulty level from three options: easy, medium, or hard. You can customize your character: choose the color of your team's uniform, the skin tone of your baseball player, and the advertising brand on your bat.

How to play

When the pitcher prepares to throw, a marker appears on the screen showing the approximate trajectory of the ball. Move the mouse to move the aiming circle towards this marker. The closer you align the circle with the marker, the more accurate your hit will be. At the moment of the pitch, press the left mouse button to swing the bat. Timing is critical—you need to click exactly when the ball crosses the control point. Too early or too late will result in a miss or a weak hit. In "Precise Hit" mode, try to hit the ball so that it lands as close as possible to the center of the target on the field. This will earn you the most points per pitch. Remember the bonus for the first bounce—double points make such shots especially valuable. In "Bottom of the Ninth" mode, the goal is different. Hit the balls to send players to base and earn runs to close the gap in the score. You have a limit of three outs, so every hit must be well thought out. Come back from two runs down and take the lead to win in a tense end to the game.
