Professor’s Rubik's Cube 5x5
Professor's Rubik's Cube 5x5 is a more complex version of the classic puzzle in the Rubik's Cube family. Rubik's released it in 1986 under the name "Professor's Cube." Each face has a fixed center piece connected to the core. Around them are 48 movable center pieces, 8 corner pieces, and 36 edge pieces. The most popular way to solve it is the simplification method, which focuses on building 3x3 center blocks and 3x1 edge groups so the puzzle effectively becomes a 3x3x3 cube that you can solve with standard algorithms. The 5x5x5 cube is an official WCA event, and the current world record for solving it is 32.88 seconds.
How to play?
Scramble Professor's Rubik's Cube 5x5 with the button at the top of the game screen. Rotate the faces to solve the center pieces and edge pieces. Use the simplification method: first, form the 3x3 centers and 3x1 edge groups so the puzzle turns into a standard 3x3x3 cube. Then use regular Rubik's Cube algorithms to finish the solve, watching for the specific parity cases that appear on this even-layer puzzle.
