Rubik's Cube Solver 3x3

Rubik's Cube Solver 3x3 Online is a browser-based Rubik's Cube game that lets you scramble a virtual cube and solve it, or enter the exact layout of your real 3x3 cube and get a step-by-step solution. Follow the moves on screen to finally fix that real cube that has been sitting unsolved for you or your child. You can also use Rubik's Cube Solver 3x3 as a regular cube simulator and play with different maximum solution lengths. The shorter the allowed solution, the longer the program may search, and it might not find any sequence if the limit is too low. In that case, stop the search with the “Stop” button, increase the maximum length, then click “Solve” again. Double-click inside the solver window to switch it to full screen.

How to play?

To use the solver with a random scramble, click the “Shuffle” button, then when the mixed cube appears, click “Solve.” When the solution is ready, press the Play button (right arrow) on the panel below the cube to watch the moves. To solve your own scrambled cube, click “Clear” and enter the colors. First select a color in the palette (the six squares above the model), then click a square on the flat model to change it to that color. Click “Show” to refresh the 3D cube and see if the layout matches your real cube. After you color the whole model, click “Solve.” The solver first checks that the colors are valid; if there is a mistake, you will see a message describing the problem. If you get an error, compare your real cube with the on-screen model, find the wrong squares, fix them, and click “Solve” again. Repeat until there are no errors. When everything is correct, the cube is solved and a green bar with playback controls appears under it, along with a button to view the move sequence as text.
