Domino Two

A blocked layout can end a round before every tile is gone. In Domino Two, that deadlock is the fish, and the score comes from the pips left in both hands after the bazaar no longer helps. The opener follows the highest double available, moving down from 6:6 to 5:5, 4:4, and lower pairs if needed. Hands without any doubles call for a redraw, or the first play goes to the tile carrying the largest pip total.

How to play?

Place a tile against a matching number already on the table. When no match appears in hand, draw from the common pile and lay down the first piece that fits; a miss after drawing passes the move. Empty your hand before the other side to take the win, then add up the pips left on the loser’s tiles for scoring. A round finished with 0:0 adds 25 points at once. The owner of 6:6 receives 50 points if that double never appeared in play. During a fish, both sides remain stuck even after drawing from the bazaar, and the hand with fewer leftover pips gets no score while the other side records only the difference between both totals.
