French Domino
A four-seat table shapes every round in French Domino, using the double-six set with tiles from blank to six. Hands are split evenly among all four players. Round order comes from the first double in hand, with 0-0 taking priority. A round without a winner resets that same requirement for the next deal. The opening double acts as the spinner. Play must reach all four sides of that tile before any arm extends farther. Penalty scoring adds another layer: leftover pips become pantali points, three consecutive passes cost 10 points, and doubles can raise the penalty total.
How to play?
Place the opening double, then add matching tiles to its four sides. After all four sides are occupied, extend an arm only after its shoulder tile has been played on that branch. A fresh number at the tip of an arm stays closed until the matching shoulder already exists on one of the four branches. Empty your hand to take the round. A blocked layout awards the round to the player holding the fewest pips. Two players tied in a blocked round leave that deal without a winner. Remaining pips become pantali points for each player. Running out of one or more doubles in hand doubles that round's penalty. Finishing the round by laying a double doubles the other players' penalties. Take a move followed by passes from the next three seats, and each passing opponent takes 10 penalty points.
