Under the arena lights, the match stops feeling staged. In the NES Game: Pro Wrestling, the TV-show setup gives way to straight ring combat, with a title belt waiting at the end of the bracket. Wrestlers trade hard shots at close range, and the referee becomes part of the finish once an opponent hits the mat. Rope rebounds add extra speed to an attack. A steel chair can also enter the bout, and the strike lands anywhere on the rival's body.

How to play?

Move around the ring and press the attack with crosses or a jumping leg kick. Drop the opponent to the canvas, then score a takedown for the referee's count. The ropes launch your wrestler back with added momentum. Grab a chair during the match and swing it at the rival inside the ring. Win each bout and advance toward the final for the championship belt.
