Super Mario Bros. 3

Super Mario Bros. 3 opens with Mario or Luigi heading across the Mushroom Kingdom, clearing stage after stage while enemies block the path. This classic platform game keeps the focus on running, jumping, and staying alive through long level chains. Pick solo play or switch to two players at the start. In two-player mode, only one brother plays at a time. Luigi takes the next turn after Mario loses a life.

Goombas and Koopa Troopas patrol the stages, and power-ups change how you fight back. Grab a mushroom to grow bigger. Find a leaf to turn into Raccoon Mario, which lets you swat foes with your tail. That suit won't save you from everything. One hit removes the raccoon form, another shrinks you, and the next mistake can end the run.

How to play?

Start by choosing one player or two players on the opening screen. Move through the level, watch enemy patterns, and line up your jumps before crossing gaps or landing near patrols. Hit power-up blocks when you spot them. Take the mushroom first to gain size. Pick up the leaf after that to use the raccoon tail against nearby enemies.

Jump on Goombas to knock them out. Time your movement around Koopa Troopas, or strike them with the tail in raccoon form. Don't run straight into anything. Contact strips your current form in order, then costs a life. In two-player mode, pass the action back and forth. Mario plays until he falls, then Luigi enters on his turn.
