Leira has just enrolled in the Sapphire Faculty, but she’s already managed to sneak into the restricted section of the library and catch Kai from the Emerald Faculty there. Instead of a dangerous spell, he’s holding a book of poetry, and this awkward encounter kicks off a story of secrets, trust, and feelings that both characters prefer to hide. In the game “Academy of Magic Arcanum,” you’ll make decisions for Lira and gradually shape her relationships with Kai and other characters. This visual novel consists of four acts: the events take place in the library, during potions classes, in the academy courtyard, and in the tower under the moon. Your choices will influence future scenes and the ending, while at the same time the heroine participates in a potions-making tournament and tries to unravel the mystery of the Silver Volume. How to Play?

Read the dialogues, follow the events, and choose responses on Lyra’s behalf. You can be direct, keep your distance, trust Kai, or treat him with suspicion. Some decisions change the characters’ attitudes toward one another, so the next scene may play out differently depending on what you chose earlier. Meet Finn, Mira, Ellis, Dean Aldar, and other characters at the academy. Pay attention to conversations, details of classes, and the oddities surrounding the Silver Volume. Some of this information will help you better understand what’s happening. During the potion-makers’ tournament and other key episodes, choose actions that fit your version of Lyra. Play through all four acts and see which ending your decisions lead to. Auto-save lets you continue the story from where you left off, and the “Characters” section will help you recall the characters you’ve met. After the first ending, you can return to the novella, choose different responses, and unlock a new ending.
