Experiment 42: Escape

In the game "Experiment 42: Escape," the protagonist named Max regains consciousness in a white room at a secret base. Soon, the sharp-tongued hacker Sonya appears by his side—a woman who can find a way out of even the most absurd situations. The ordinary room very quickly turns out to be part of a huge complex with white walls, electronic doors, and strange devices. Behind one door lies a laboratory, behind another, mechanisms hum; further on stretch ventilation shafts and corridors with lasers. Max often wants to solve problems by force, while Sonya takes a more level-headed view of everything and constantly comes up with better ideas. The story unfolds through dialogue, absurd situations, and the consequences of decisions, so the escape from the base gradually turns into a long chain of unexpected scenes.

How to play?

Read the dialogues on the screen and wait until the text appears in full. During conversations, it often becomes clear what’s nearby, where you can go, and what the characters plan to do next. When options appear, click on the action you think is best. You can choose a brute-force approach, try a clever option, or use a random item if it fits the situation. Make your way through wards, chemistry labs, laser corridors, and ventilation shafts, choosing solutions for new scenes. Sometimes you’ll need to clear a path, sometimes bypass a dangerous area, and sometimes deal with machinery or a villain. If a decision turns out to be a bad one, the story will rewind and let you try another option. Choose again, test new answers, and guide Max and Sonya forward until they escape the base.
