Who's Typing?

"Who's Typing?" is a visual novel in the form of a text-based mystery that unfolds in your messaging app window. You receive messages; your conversation partners seem to be hiding something; chats can be misleading or, conversely, shed light on the situation; and the meaning of the last sentence further entangles the web of mysterious events. Behind this strange chain of events lies the enigmatic “Gray,” but you can only track him down through correspondence, case files, clues, and contradictions. Each chapter is like a separate investigation: you need to figure out who’s lying, who’s afraid to tell the truth, and which message actually changes the entire case.

How to Play?

Open the desired chat from the list or simply switch between them using the tabs at the bottom. Read the messages and choose your responses. Your replies affect trust, suspicion, and pressure. If the person you’re talking to is being evasive, you can take a softer approach to gain their trust. If they’re clearly lying, it’s best to press them with questions and look for a weakness in their story. New clues unlock additional responses, so check the character profiles and the evidence panel regularly. Keep an eye on the evidence, dialogue, and contradictions tabs to cross-reference statements with the facts you’ve uncovered. When you spot a lie, select the appropriate clue and use it to challenge your conversation partner’s words. At the end of the chapter, tap “Final Report” and answer 4 questions: who is guilty, what was the motive, which piece of evidence is key, and what really happened. If the report is incorrect, you can rewrite it or replay the chapter. The story has a total of 10 chapters, multiple endings, auto-save, and a smooth gameplay experience on both computers and phones.
