Dr. Kinderwood's Asylum

In Dr. Kinderwood's Asylum, you find yourself in a kingdom where a terrible epidemic of flower disease has broken out. The events of the game revolve around the son of a tailor and a healer. He is infected and has lost all hope, because all paths are closed to him. Dr. Kinderwood, the owner of an old infirmary who hides his face behind a mask, is willing to take him in. Inside the infirmary, he meets others who are just as doomed as he is: a circus acrobat, two bandits, a knight, and his arrogant master. They all ended up here hoping for a miracle. The doctor offers treatment, but his methods are not recognized by either the church or scientists. The only question is what awaits the hero—salvation or a sad fate.

How to play

The story unfolds in a visual novel format, where you control the hero's actions. During the first three days in the shelter, you can get to know the inhabitants, explore the rooms, or focus on finding a cure. Each of your choices determines what events will unfold next and how your relationships with other characters will change. Move between locations by clicking on active areas with your mouse. Interact with objects, find hidden details, and try to use them to advance your search. When you need to make an important decision, the game will offer you a mini-game. If you succeed, you will unlock a new storyline; if you fail, you will get an unexpected result. Communication with characters plays an important role. Who becomes your ally depends on how you talk to the acrobat, behave towards the knight, or decide the fate of the bandits. Choose your answers carefully, because trust is more valuable than any item here. Whether the tailor's son can transform from a pawn into a figure who will change the ending of the story depends solely on your decisions.
