Sonic Boom: Link 'n Smash

Stack character pieces fast to clear the board before it fills up. In Sonic Boom: Link 'n Smash you match Sonic and his friends with the items that belong to them. Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, Tails, and Sticks all appear on the screen as symbols, not as moving heroes. Their icons drop in three-ball clusters from the top, and you link each hero with their matching gear to wipe rows away and keep the pile low.

Every symbol stands for a specific character detail. The golden ring connects to Sonic, the pink hammer belongs to Amy, the nut belongs to Tails, the heavy fist marks Knuckles, and the boomerang marks Sticks. Rotate and place each triple block to bring the right faces and items together. Once you join a character portrait with the correct item, that full combo disappears from the playfield. The more accurate links you create, the longer the screen stays open for new pieces to fall.

A key icon also appears as backup. When you collect enough tiles related to one hero, that key activates and lets you clear several pieces tied to that same character. Use it to push the stack back down when the symbols creep toward the top edge. This puzzle version of a Sonic game keeps the focus on logic, quick planning, and timely item use instead of running at high speed.

How to play?

Move the falling triple blocks sideways to shift their landing spot on the field. Rotate them to change the order of the three balls inside the cluster. Drop each block so character faces land near their own items, not near random symbols from other heroes. Watch the height of every column. If the combined blocks reach the top of the grid, the round ends immediately.

Trigger the key power when the interface shows enough pieces for a specific hero. Hit it during a tight moment to remove that hero's icons in bulk. Spread your placements across different columns instead of stacking everything in one line. That spacing keeps more paths open for future blocks and gives you better options for forming exact character-and-item links.

Pick up rings scattered across the stage to stay safe. When Sonic gets hit, rings fly away instead of losing a life instantly. Grab as many as possible again to restore a buffer. Stack up a large ring count to earn extra lives, then push deeper into later levels without restarting.
