Late-night Springfield looks normal for everyone except Bart. In Simpsons: Bart vs the Space Mutants | NES Game, a flash outside the window leads him into the street, where a giant alien saucer hangs over town. His family laughs off the warning after he gets back home. Bart slips out again after bedtime and heads off alone, trying to uncover why the invaders came to Springfield before their plan reaches the whole planet. The trail points him toward a toy factory, and the search continues from there.

How to play?

Move through town and track the aliens without touching them, because Bart's lives run out fast, and a capture ends the attempt. Follow the clues that expose what the invaders need for their takeover, then press farther into Springfield as the route leads from one location to the next. At the toy factory, stay out of an alien's path and watch every approach, since getting killed sends the story back to the beginning.
