NES Game: Galaga

Arcade space combat defined early console shooting. In the NES Game: Galaga, a lone starfighter faces attack formations pouring in from above, with your planet hanging behind the battle. The arcade roots still show through the score chase and the old-school leaderboard push, but the setup stays tight: enemy ships fill the screen, and the pilot's seat is yours.

How to play?

Across each wave, slide the ship across the bottom of the screen and fire upward at alien craft before their dives connect; enemy shots and direct collisions both cost one of your three lives, and the run ends when that supply is gone. High scores drive the session, placing point totals against the leaderboard as more ships fall under your missiles.
