NES Games: Contra

Jungle warfare breaks out against an alien invasion, with two commandos sent into enemy territory on a secret operation. The muscle-bound heroes in NES Games: Contra echo the action-movie look of Stallone and Schwarzenegger, and the mission pushes through heavy resistance backed by superior technology. Co-op support changes the whole setup by putting both fighters on the field at once, though a solo run leaves one soldier to carry the operation alone.

How to play?

Run and fire through enemy lines, using pistols at first and swapping to stronger weapons picked up during the assault, including machine guns, shotguns, and grenades. Fallen aliens leave the path to boss fights, and each defeated boss unlocks the next area. In two-player mode, bring a friend into the mission for side-by-side combat; in single-player, push ahead with one commando and survive the same assault without backup.
