Team Hamster: Tower Builders
Team Hamster: Tower Builders is an educational game about engineering for two players. The action takes place in a design class, where hamster students learn the science of building strong structures that can withstand various natural forces. The project teaches them to understand structures, the properties of different materials, the principles of stability, and load distribution. Players either work together or compete against each other in four different tests. Builders have access to materials with unique characteristics, from hard bricks to soft sponges. The game includes four types of experiments, each of which tests specific engineering skills and understanding of physics. After the structures are built, they undergo tests to ensure they meet the requirements of the task.
How to play
Choose two hamster heroes for yourself and your partner. Then decide which experiment to take first: earthquake, height, rain, or wind. Decide on the mode: teamwork or competition. The starting area and a panel with available building materials will appear on the screen. Bricks are strong and heavy, good for foundations. Sponges are light but absorb water. Other blocks have their own characteristics. Take the elements and place them on top of each other to form a tower. In collaborative mode, both players build one building in turn, agreeing on the design. In competition mode, each player builds their own tower on a separate plot, trying to outdo their opponent. Finished building? Run the test. If you choose an earthquake, shaking will begin, and you can see if the tower will stand. The height test will check if the structure reaches the star. Rain will pour down from above, testing the strength of wet materials. Wind will blow from the side, trying to knock the structure over. Passed the test? Move on to the next experiment. Failed? Analyze where the weak spot is—maybe the foundation is too narrow or the materials are wrong. Rebuild and try again. Once you've mastered all four basic tests, go to the level editor. Place the starting areas, choose the type of test, limit the materials, or give complete freedom. Save the task you have created and invite your partner to try it. Or launch the sandbox mode, where you can build anything without rules and tests—pure creativity and experiments with physics.
