Frogger
Frogger was invented by the Japanese in 1981 for arcade machines, and it is still relevant today. Everyone plays it, from children to adults. The essence is ridiculously simple. The frog stands at the bottom of the screen. It needs to get to the house at the top. But between them are two death zones - a road with speeding cars and a river with floating logs. One wrong move and it will be crushed or drowned. To complete a level, you need to drag five frogs to the finish line. There are five houses at the top. Once you get the first frog to one of the houses, it stays there. Take the next frog from the bottom and drag it to the second house.
How to play?
There is a road with cars below. They rush in different directions—one lane to the left, the other to the right. Look for a gap and quickly jump there. Stand in the middle between two cars—wait for the moment, then dash forward. If you get hit by a car, you lose one life, and the frog reappears below. Crossed the road? Now there's a river. Here, the mechanics are different—you can't stand still, you have to keep moving. The water is flowing, and you can't stay in it on your own. Look for a log or a turtle and jump on them. Swim with them in some direction. Another log appears ahead - jump over to it. This is how you get across the whole river in leaps and bounds. Have you reached the top? There are five mink houses there. Jump exactly into one of them - the frog dives in and stays there forever. You return down for the next one. Did you miss the burrow and jump into a wall or grass? Another life lost. In later levels, crocodiles are added. They swim among the logs with their mouths open. If you jump on a crocodile instead of a log, it will eat you. You have to distinguish between a normal safe log and one with teeth. Filled all five burrows with frogs? You've passed the level, move on to the next one. It's the same thing, only faster and with more creatures. Hone your skills, get a feel for the timing, and beat this old-school classic!
