Frogster 2

Frogster 2 is an action platformer in which a nimble frog explores a vast underground world. Unlike the first part, here you will find a non-linear level structure, many secret rooms, and branching paths. Armed with a sword, the hero makes his way through dark caves inhabited by hostile creatures. The game is filled with various elements: collecting coins and keys from chests, opening locked doors with stars, trading with strangers encountered in the dungeon. The ultimate goal is to reach the boss and defeat him in battle.

How to play

Control the frog with the keyboard, moving through the branching locations of the dungeon. Attack enemies with your sword while keeping a safe distance or getting close for quick strikes. Destroy enemies not only for safety, but also in the hope that they will drop provisions. Collect coins lying around and break chests to get keys. Keys open up new areas of the map. Some doors will require stars, a rare resource hidden in some chests. Met a stranger? Talk to them, they may sell useful items for your accumulated coins. Beware of spikes on the walls and ceilings, and calculate your jumps carefully so you don't run into them. The chasms are also deadly; miss the platform and you'll fall down. Your health is displayed on the screen, so make sure it doesn't drop to zero. Found a campfire? Sit down next to it to restore all your health, and your progress will be saved at that point. Explore every nook and cranny of the dungeon and make your way to the final boss.
