Ice Fishing
Across a frozen lake, winter angling replaces long casts with a hole cut through solid ice. In Ice Fishing, you head onto the lake itself, pick a spot away from shore, and fish straight down through the opening. The cold setting changes the whole routine. You can test one patch of ice, wait for movement below, and relocate when that area goes quiet. Big fish and small fish both swim under the surface, so the catch depends on finding an active place and pulling up as many as you can.
How to play?
Use the short ice rod made for vertical fishing. Lower the bait through the hole. Let out the line from the reel until the hook reaches the depth you want. Watch the float for a bite. Jerk the rod to set the hook, then wind the reel with care. Pull too hard, and the line can snap in the hole. If the water below stays still for too long, walk to a new section of ice and cut another opening.
