Fishing Girl
Fishing Girl is a calm and unhurried fishing game with its own story. The main character is a young fisherwoman relaxing on the beach with her younger sister. A mysterious bottle washes ashore with an SOS note from a boy stranded on a deserted island in the middle of shark-infested waters. The only way to help him is to grab a fishing rod and take action. The game is controlled with just one button, and useful items are placed directly within the game world. The lure gains momentum during the cast, making the movement feel more natural and enjoyable. The game features a fish rarity system that shifts the approach from “catch the nearest one” to a conscious choice of target: which fish are nearby and which specific one to aim for. Smaller fish can snatch large bait, adding a tactical choice: catch the first one that comes along or dodge it for a more valuable catch. When reeling in a large fish, only medium-sized fish can nibble at it—this maintains the tension but eliminates unnecessary frustration. Additionally, the game features a bomb lure for special situations. The game offers two difficulty levels and two possible endings with unexpected surprises.
How to play?
Hold down the single control button to start casting, then release it and the lure will fly into the water with acceleration. Hold the button again to reel in the line. Keep an eye on the fish around the lure and choose your target wisely: sometimes it’s better to dodge small fish and wait for a large, rare one. When reeling in a big catch, watch out for medium-sized fish—they can nip at your prey right on the hook. Earn money, upgrade your gear, collect items right in the game world, and ultimately figure out a way to rescue the boy stranded on the island.
