Standard Checkers

On the 8x8 board in Standard Checkers, two sides face off with 12 pieces each, black against green. Match wits with the computer and work through three difficulty settings. Regular pieces move one square diagonally forward. Reaching the far edge crowns a piece, which may then move backward, too.

How to play?

Select a piece, then choose one of the highlighted squares to move it. Click the selected piece again to switch and pick a different one. Capture by jumping over an opposing piece onto the empty square behind it. A capture is mandatory whenever it's available. If another jump is available after the first capture, continue the chain in the same move. Use the middle of the board to give your pieces more routes. Pieces stuck on the edge have fewer escape squares. Easy mode gives the computer weaker moves. Medium plays with more care. High pushes the AI to calculate further ahead.
