Checkers Legend

Plan diagonal attacks on a classic 8x8 board. In Checkers Legend, you can pick a ruleset before the match and play under different king movement and capture settings. The board looks easy at first glance, but strong play comes from reading several moves ahead. Face a computer rival on easy, medium, or hard, then test how well you can trap pieces, guard lanes, and build a path to promotion.

Each side moves across dark squares, which gives every exchange a tight shape. Regular pieces move one square on the diagonal. Kings may follow the rule variant you selected, which changes how far they travel after promotion. Rule options also cover take-backs and forced captures, giving each match a slightly different rhythm.

How to play?

Choose a difficulty first, then confirm the rule variation you want for the round. Drag a checker diagonally to an open dark square when no capture is available. Jump over an opposing piece to remove it from the board when a legal capture appears. Reaching the far edge promotes that piece to a king, which then follows the selected king rule.
