Simple Checkers

Across the 8x8 board in Simple Checkers, black and white pieces face off with 12 men per side. Local play lets two people share one computer, while solo mode pairs you with an easy computer opponent. Diagonal movement shapes every match. Regular pieces travel one square toward the far side, then kings move backward too after reaching the last row. Jumped pieces leave the board, and chained captures can remove several in one turn when landing spaces stay open.

How to play?

Pick one player for a match against the computer or choose two-player for hot-seat play. White and black move on alternating turns, using only dark squares and stepping diagonally into open spaces. Reaching the back row crowns that piece, which then gains movement across the board in both directions. Finish by blocking all enemy moves or by taking every opposing piece off the board.
