How to play?

First, choose your side and place your pieces at the start. On the checkers side, pieces move quickly, make contact often, and try to surround the opponent by staying in a tight group. Kings in checkers can fly across the board and strike in different directions, so look for long diagonals and open lanes. Chess pieces follow their own patterns. Pawns move forward and capture diagonally, and when they reach the far edge of the board, they are promoted to queens. Rooks and queens control distant squares, block pathways, and keep the checkers from getting close. The king must be kept safe by building a solid defense and not leaving it open to a chain of attacks. Players move in turns.
