Quarto

A subway ride or a wait in line is enough for a round of Quarto. The board sits on a lawn backdrop instead of an office wall, with bright visuals and soft audio setting a calmer mood. Four matching traits decide the round: line up pieces that share one attribute, whether color, height, shape, or the notch cut into the top. The piece in your hand never comes from your own choice. An opponent hands it over before each move. Three modes are available, including matches against AI and a solo campaign with many rounds. Difficulty also changes before play, with beginner, master, and champion settings ready from the menu.

How to play?

Place the figure your rival gives you on the grid. Build a line of four with one shared property across the set. Dark pieces work. Tall ones work too. A notch can define the row, and square or round forms also complete it. AI opponents cover solo sessions, and a second player can join on the same board when a human match sounds better.
