4 in a Row: Yandex
Played under the name 4 in a Row: Yandex, this version uses polished visuals, direct rules, and a medium bot. Line up 4 crosses or zeros in one row across, down, or diagonally. Pieces drop only into the bottom space of a column or onto another piece already there. Two modes are available: solo play against the computer, or a match for two people on one device. The computer uses standard tactics and doesn't plan several moves ahead. This game is also known as Collect Four. It shares the tic-tac-toe idea of lining up symbols, with gravity-based piece placement on the grid.
How to play?
Pick a mode, then choose a grid size: 6x7, 7x8, 7x9, or 7x10. After the match begins, drop crosses or zeros into different columns and build a line of 4 before the other side does. A larger grid gives more space for moves. A match can still end fast if someone completes a row early. Face the bot alone or challenge a friend, a brother, a sister, or any other person in local play.
