NES Game: Ice Climber
Ice walls rise above the mountain path, leaving only small ledges between one climb and the next. In the NES Game: Ice Climber, the mountain route stays blocked by frozen layers and hard platforms that break the upward route into short sections. A climber heads for the summit with a pick in hand. Local creatures rush in when the ice gets smashed, patching the damage almost at once and crowding the route to the top.
How to play?
Swing the pick into breakable ice and carve a route upward through the stacked ledges. You move higher by jumping through the gaps you make. Some sections won't crack at all. Use another route and pass around them before the repaired ground closes the path again. Fast movement is required during each climb because the mountain's inhabitants rebuild broken spots right away.
