Gold Strike Icy Cave

In the game “Gold Strike Icy Cave,” you descend into a frozen mine where gold is hidden among ice blocks, rocks, and frozen gems. This is the winter version of the well-known game Gold Strike, and the rules remain the same, but instead of the usual mine, you’re now surrounded by ice and cold. On each level, you’re assisted by a miner with a blue beard wearing a yellow-and-gray hard hat. He asks you to help him break through the debris that’s slowly closing in on him from the cave. In addition to gold, you’ll find fossilized animals and precious stones buried in the ice, which also earn you points. With each completed task, you descend deeper and deeper, and the difficulty increases accordingly.

How to play?

Look for adjacent blocks of the same type—there must be at least two. Click on such a group with the mouse or tap it with your finger, and the miner will throw a pickaxe at it. You can break ice, stone, and gold. Blocks come at the miner in waves. At the bottom of the screen, you’ll see a depth indicator; it increases after each wave. If you don’t want to wait for the next wave, press the “Next” button, and it will appear immediately. Don’t let the blocks reach the character—otherwise, the game is over. Points are mainly earned from gold, as well as from blocks containing fossilized animals and gemstones. Ice and stone don’t earn any points. However, they determine where the gold will move after a hit. They’re often mixed in with gold blocks, and a hasty move will only mess up your strategy. It’s better to pause for a second and see if this is the right spot to hit. If you completely clear one or more columns, a gap will appear between the front and back blocks, giving you a little more time to think. When you reach the end of the mine, the level will be cleared, and you’ll move on to the next mine.
