Gold Strike

In “Gold Strike,” you help a miner who, armed with just a pickaxe, is holding his ground against a stone wall. The wall is constantly creeping toward him from the depths of the mine, and it’s a mix of ordinary rocks, gold, diamonds, blocks containing ancient bones, and antique urns. By breaking them, the miner not only pushes the rubble farther away from himself but also scores points. Both quick thinking and speed come in handy here: the better you choose what to break, the bigger your combos will be. The further you advance, the faster the mine fills up, and there’s no time to relax.

How to play?

Click with the mouse or tap with your finger on a group of two or more identical blocks that are next to each other. The miner will throw a pickaxe at them and break them apart. New rows appear automatically after a certain amount of time; sometimes blocks are added from above, creating new combinations. The “Mine Depth” indicator shows how many more rows will appear on this level. If there are no valid moves left, you don’t have to wait—you can trigger the next row early. The main rule is simple: the wall must not reach the miner, or the game will end. Blocks with dice and urns are worth the most points, and some blocks are marked with a special icon that doubles your points. Complete one mine, and the game will send you to the next one, even deeper.
