Fishing: Trophy Bite
So, feel like catching some fish? Then it’s time to head out on an epic fishing trip in the game “Fishing: Trophy Bite.” You’ll find yourself in a small village on the shore of a pond, where Grandpa Mityay lives. He’s spent so many years with a fishing rod that he knows every backwater like the back of his hand, and he loves to say: “The trophy goes not to the fastest, but to the most patient.” While you’re getting the hang of things at the village pond, larger bodies of water await just beyond the village: rivers, lakes, and even entire oceans, which the local fishermen whisper about. Will you have enough patience to make your way from your first crucian carp all the way to a great white shark?
How to Play?
The game “Fishing: Trophy Bite” features 21 bodies of water: from a village backwater, the Dnieper, and Lake Baikal to the Caribbean Sea, the Pacific Ocean, and the Southern Ocean. Each body of water has several fishing spots, each with its own species of fish; in total, the game features 53 species, ranging from crucian carp and pike to marlin, tuna, and great white sharks. First, select the “Go Fishing” option, then find the desired body of water and fishing spot on the world map. Next, choose a spot on the water where you want to cast your float. Then, just wait for a bite. As soon as the float starts to sink, tap the screen to set the hook. This triggers a mini-game with the reel: the pointer moves along a scale, and you need to tap, touch the screen, or press the spacebar when it’s in the green zone. Your goal is to get the required number of hits before you run out of attempts. You can keep the fish you catch in the keepnet or release it. You can sell your catch in the “Sell Fish” menu, and spend the money you earn in Grandpa Mitya’s “Store” on fishing rods, reels, lines, and bait. Fish will only bite on the right bait, and if you miss a catch, your gear might be too weak—it’s time to choose a sturdier rod and line. As you level up, new bodies of water and gear become available. You receive a reward for logging in daily; quests are posted on the wooden board; and you can win money, a fishing rod, or a VIP badge on the roulette wheel. All species you catch are added to your collection, where your personal records are saved, and the best anglers compete on the leaderboard. Catch the biggest fish and prove to other players that you’re the best angler.
