Tic Tac Toe Dice

Number grids wait on both sides of the table. In Tic Tac Toe Dice, two players roll a pair of six-sided dice on separate cross-and-nought boards, trying to complete a vertical set of four crossed-out numbers or a horizontal set of three before the other side does. The match runs across a fixed number of rounds, and unfinished numbers stay important because they become penalty points after a round ends.

How to play?

During a turn, roll the two dice once and mark numbers only when their total matches the spaces you cross out. A total of 5 can remove the single number 5, yet the same total may also remove several spaces at once if their values add up to 5. With 2 and 5 on the dice, cross out 1 and 6, mark 2 and 5, use 3 and 4, or remove 1, 2, and 4 together. When one number from a needed group has already been crossed out, that partial choice is blocked, and the whole combination becomes invalid. If no valid match remains on the board, the move ends, and play passes over. Once a player finishes four numbers in one column or three across one row, the round stops. The opponent then adds up every uncrossed number left on that grid, and after the last round, the lower penalty total wins the game.
