King of Bridges

King of Bridges is set in a world of tiny islands just waiting for you to connect them. This Japanese logic puzzle is also known as Hashii. On the board you see islands, each marked with a yellow number. That number shows how many inhabitants live on the island, and that equals how many bridges have to go to that island. You only build straight bridges between islands, and you can have no more than two bridges in the same direction between any pair of islands. The whole field looks like a grid, and you draw your bridges along that grid. Sometimes the next move is obvious, and sometimes you have to stop and think so you do not leave islands isolated or let bridges cross. Once you get the basic idea, the puzzle quickly pulls you in and you will want to clear one level after another in this bridge puzzle game.

How to play?

To begin, pick any island and click the yellow arrows to build a bridge in the direction you want. The simplest way to start is to choose an island with the number one. That number means it only needs a single bridge, and once you place it, it is easier to see what to do next. As you keep going, more and more islands will link together and you will watch the whole chain come to life. It is important that no island is left on its own, because King of Bridges only counts the puzzle as solved when the entire map is connected. Bridges can not cross each other, so watch carefully where you place every line. The levels are split into six difficulty groups, and each group has five puzzles. Take your time and test different setups, because sometimes the right answer is not the one you first expect. When you get used to how the numbers and connections work, you will be able to beat even the harder puzzles and really feel like the king of bridges.
