TicTacToe Ception

Nine big squares split the board before the first mark lands. TicTacToe Ception expands classic tic tac toe into a layered board game with nine mini grids inside a larger layout. Crosses and zeros still fill the cells, but a local win claims one large section on the outer board. The match runs on two tiers at once. A line across three claimed sections decides the full round. Extra territory still has value, since more than three winning areas can end up on your side before the board closes. Rivalry shifts between a computer opponent and local player-versus-player rounds.

How to play?

Place a mark in one cell of a mini grid. Three matching icons in that inner grid lock down its large square. The landing spot of a move sends the rival to the matching zone for the next play. Read that restriction before placing a cross or zero, then push the next move into a section that works for your plan. Claim three large squares in a row to take the game.
