State.io
In State.io, you fight for control of a flat world map where colored regions clash for dominance. Matches play out in real time, and every second changes the borders. Battles feel fast, but the rules stay simple enough to follow even during heavy action. Pick one of two colors at the start and watch your tiny starter zone appear on the field. That color marks every state, city, and tower you manage to capture. From there, the whole strategy game turns into a tug-of-war over territory against other players or AI opponents.
How to play?
Drag from your state to a nearby zone to send troops and paint it in your color. I usually secure neutral areas first, because they flip quickly and boost my total army count. Then I redirect units to enemy cities, towers, and outposts to cut into their supply. If you stretch too far in State.io, your lines thin out, and enemy blobs can retake weak points easily. Split your army between attacking and defending key borders so your empire does not collapse under a single strong push. Coins drop after victories and let you unlock new badges and icons for your buildings and troops. These cosmetics change how your forces and structures look on the map, but keep the basic rules of the strategy genre intact. Test different attack angles, time your rushes, and keep your color spreading until rival states disappear from the screen.
