NES Game: North & South
Cannon smoke hangs over a divided continent. In the NES Game: North & South, the conflict plays out across North and South America, with both sides pushing to capture the other side's land. The commander's seat goes to the player, and every campaign asks for a side, a route, and a battle plan that fits the situation. Army clashes don't always unfold the same way. One fight may place a full force under command. Another cuts the action down to a single soldier. Weather also changes battle conditions, adding another layer to each campaign map.
How to play?
Move units with care across the map and leave a soldier on your flag before ending a move. An unguarded flag gives the opposing side the area without combat. Plan the next march before committing troops, since ground conditions and weather can change how a battle plays out. Combat shifts by encounter type. Some engagements use an entire army, and others place one character in the fight.
