Digger Escape
In the game “Digger Escape,” artificial intelligence has gone out of control and begun destroying cities. A small team of engineers managed to escape into the forest, and now all they have is an old drill and a rather daring plan: to build a rocket and flee Earth. The parts for it won’t just appear on their own, so they’ll have to dig for them. The underground world is procedurally generated each time, containing wood, stone, copper, coal, gold, and other resources, and sometimes meteorites containing rare metals fall nearby. You can sell your loot or use it for construction. At the base, engineers build a garage, a gas station, copper and silver smelters, a laboratory, a museum with dinosaur fossils, and other buildings—eight in total. And the main goal of it all is the rocket, which is assembled in 25 stages.
How to play?
You control a drilling machine and descend underground to collect resources. Various modules are attached to the machine—a drill, an auger, a saw, a laser, and a cleaner—and each has its own function. Keep an eye on your fuel level. If you run out of fuel while you’re underground, you won’t be able to return to base, so refuel in time. It’s worth digging up meteorites that fall nearby—the metal they contain is valuable and will come in handy for construction. Once you return to base, sell your haul and build structures. Many of these buildings process raw materials on their own, and it’s more profitable to sell the processed goods afterward—coal is turned into fuel, and copper and silver are smelted into ingots. Upgrade the vehicle itself as well, increasing the fuel tank capacity and cargo space. In the lab, you can upgrade various aspects of the base, and the fossils on display in the museum generate additional income. Assemble the rocket step by step until it’s ready for launch.
