Super Mario Gangster

Super Mario Gangster turns Mario into a hard-edged street brawler stalking through a darker version of his usual side-scrolling world. The familiar setting is still here, but the palette is dimmer, the soundtrack hits heavier, and the enemies look meaner. Poison mushrooms replace the classic goofy creatures. They crowd the path with several rows of sharp teeth. Keep moving through monster-filled stages, crush threats under Mario's boots, and rack up points on the way. Brick blocks still matter. Break them open to pull out score bonuses or useful items. One of them is a ham that lets Mario survive a hit from an enemy.

How to play?

Run forward, watch the ground ahead, and line up jumps before the toothy mushrooms reach you. Land on their heads to wipe them out. Touching them costs you a life unless you've already picked up the ham. Punch or bump every brick block you can reach. Some blocks pay out extra points. Others hide the food pickup that gives Mario one hit of protection. Stay clear of crowded enemy groups, then jump in when there's room to land safely.
